Ruins & Resorts is an independent publishing project about resort and town breaks in Turkey beyond Istanbul.

Our Story

Founded in 2026, Ruins & Resorts was created to make it easier to choose a Turkish resort or town and plan what to see there, from the old town to the ancient sites nearby, before booking.

    Our Research Process

    How each guide is put together:

    • Sources: Use article-level sources from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, site and museum operators, municipalities and transport providers.
    • Corrections: We fix reported factual errors and update the article date.

    What We Do

    Ruins & Resorts publishes town-by-town guides to Turkey's resort and historic towns: what to see and do, old towns and bazaars, ancient sites, boat trips and neighbourhoods.

    We are committed to:

    • Clear attribution: Separate sourced facts from editorial recommendations and avoid invented trip reports.
